Power Skating Journal, part 3 of 4 – Keeping up the pace.

Day three presented new challenges, such as further work on backwards C-cuts, X-pushes, and backwards crossovers. Today the progression continued with speed (or perhaps a better, less generic term can be used here; such as acceleration or quickness) being the emphasis. A lot of that had to do with keeping a consistently quick pace, without much of a halt between drills. It’s been one hell of a learning curve for sure, but that’s the most valuable part of it – getting the knowledge that I need for physical application and development down the road.

Tomorrow represents not an ending, but a beginning – One that comes about with a smarter skating mind and the preparedness for better skills. My journey has only just begun.
